alextheatreGlendale's Alex Theatre has been the centerpiece of the City's arts, culture and community programming for many years. The theatre's diverse schedule boasts roughly 250 events and attracts more than 130,000 patrons per year. Program offerings range from classical, contemporary and world music concerts, to film screenings, live theatre and stand-up comedy. Check out what’s going on this month at Alex Theatre.

Creator and Tango Maestro Marcos Questas brings a show with warmth, feeling, life's imperfections, relationships and soul.  For the first time in Los Angeles, a tango featuring real people, real tango, bringing eighteen people from the tango community together for the first time on stage presenting their personal stories, passions and struggles. Directed by International Tango Maestro Marcos Questas. Artistry by Ruta Maria in association with Yolanda Rossi.

Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra Presents Four Seasons. Experience spring, summer, fall and winter in Italy with Venetian Baroque master Vivaldi. The German composer Mendelssohn, whose vibrant symphony was inspired his by own travels, reveals his 19th-century impressions of Rome and Naples. LACO concertmaster Margaret Batjer leads our wonderful musical journey from the first chair.

By popular demand, for the first time in the United States, singer Arsen Safaryan will perform live in concert at the Alex Theatre. The concert will be performed in Armenian and English. Running time is approximately 4 hours with one intermission, and the performance is suitable for all ages.

Alex Film Society presents The Haunting of Hill House. Robert Wise adapted this novel by Shirley Jackson's into one of filmdom's most memorable horror films. A paranormal investigator (Richard Johnson) decides to investigate a 90-year old haunted house aided by two women with recent psychic experiences (Julie Harris and Claire Bloom) and the owner's skeptical nephew (Russ Tamblyn). The Haunting is a great way to get into the Halloween spirit!

Bust out your Halloween costume for Taline's first ever Halloween Concert and Party at the Alex Theatre. Sing and dance with Taline & Friends, join the Halloween Parade, take pictures with the cast, and start your 'Trick or Treating' at the Alex with Taline & Friends.
